ASSORTED SHIRTS

The Story

Over the years, I have had the pleasure of making many designs for many different people.  Recently, I have had the opportunity to help create T-shirt designs through a couple means.

Below are a few of my best works for clients, so take a look and check them out!

Simpson Shirt Company

For the past year, I have had the pleasure to make T-shirt designs for dozens of clients through a company called Simpson Shirt Company.

Most of what I have done has been under a severely short deadline with clients asking me to practically replicate a reference design.  This limits my creativity and the originality of the work I do, but at the end of the day, it is part of my job.

However, there have been several projects where only a particular direction was requested, but creative freedom was granted in order to make it hit the target audience best.   This is where my best shirt design work lies, and is something I believe to be worth showing.

BRAVE 2026 - Summit Camps

One of Simpson Shirt Company's biggest clients is Summit Camps.  I had the opportunity to make the camps' theme shirt for 2026.  Their theme this year was BRAVE, based on the verse Joshua 1:9.

My overall idea revolved around the typography carrying the connontation of being brave.  The bold height of the font gave a sense of bravery and strength, almost as though the letters themselves stood tall.

On the back, I added blocks with topographic maps, signifying the fact that God is with us wherever we go, thus allowing us to be strong and courageous: "...for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9b

Summit Camps - 35 Year Tour

Summit Camps also wanted a shirt to celebrate their 35th year anniversary, taking inspiration from the "touring band" aesthetic.

I chose to go with the font combo of bold, raw, and chill serif, taking a lot of inspiration from more indie folk tour shirts.  Threshholded images of mountains were the primary elements to make the design more grungey, whilst also holding to the idea of the mountain summit.

On the back, I put the names of past camp themes in the same orientation that a tour shirt would have all their touring locations.

Pi Kappa Alpha is a nearby fraternity that came to Simpson Shirt Company asking for a sweatshirt they needed for a funraising event called Pikesgiving.

They wanted the colors to be fall themed, featuring their house as one of the main focal points of the shirt.  The turkey was a mascot of past years and also remained a main focal point of the shirt.

Worldview Academy

I have also worked on a couple shirts and concepts for a ministry called Worldview Academy.  This ministry travels all across the USA during the summer, stopping at different colleges for a week to host intensive, acedmic-focused camps based around Christian leadership and apologetics.

I was not paid for any of these (even the ones that were used), as these are passion projects for this ministry to help them achieve higher quality apparel.

Volunteer Giveaway Shirt for 2026

At the end of each summer, Worldview Academy gives t-shirts to staff, directors, and faculty as a gift of gratitude and for them to remember the summer by.  I had the honor of designing these shirts for the summer of 2026.

My design direction was based on a more clean and modern aesthetic with some brutalistic undertones attached.

With the sheer amount of travel we do each summer, I wanted the travel to be the primary focus of this shirt, reminding them of all the places they've been.  I did this primarily through the thresholded image of the van traversing the countryside, as they use Transit vans to travel from camp to camp and experience so many things with them.  To embelish this idea some more, I put a topographic map seperating the states they traveled, put arrows throughout the shirt pointing east and west, and added the globe sphere next to Worldview Academy logo.

2025 Staff Gathering

At the end of the 2025, the west team had a reunion where they wanted shirts.  Since I was attending it myself and was working at Simpson Shirt Company, I decided to make the designs for them so we could make the shirts.

"Westie Bestie" was the nickname we called ourselves, and so I made that the central element.  I took inspiration from western design, as it seemed to fit the theme of the shirt nicely.  In the center I placed a map of the USA, filling out the states we traveled to.  On top of that, I placed every name of the staff, directors, and faculty that served with us over the summer.

Worldview Academy Concept Shirts

I was asked to come up with some shirt designs, and these were a few I came up with.  I focused these shirts around one of their core concepts: the 5 Pillars of Leadership, which are Meekness, Integrity, Vision, Attitude, and Empowerment.

I intentionally made each one of these designs to be stylistically different.  Students that attend this camp wear a wide array of styles, so in the assumption that they sell all of these shirts at the same time, most students would be able to find a shirt that fits their style.

Each one of the pillars feature different designs that compliment and enforce the meaning behind them, setting the tone and style for the shirt.
